Yes, it has a DDC designed hull. Believe it or not the Larson has a DDC hull as well.

I think these companies built dedicated molds.

We use a seperate mold and insert the part, flip the hull and blue print every boat. Through the years we've played with it and adjust it accordingly to power, length and speed. An example is the 37 with 525 EFIs and Bravos the step is 4". If you move up to 600s or 700s we reduce the heigh one full inch. Sometime we slide it back or forth a minimal amount based on cabin options and weight as well as ITS or more weight in the back.

Larsons are running less than half the speed but still benefit from the ride and hull effeciency so their need for this effort is moot. Challenger goes in and out of business so who knows what goes on there.

Hope this helps.

ATs get my vote, I was on STEVES #1 33 a few times in all types of water over 3yrs. thanks Steve I owe you a ride this summer on the saber 28. back to the 33 its deep cockpit and side by side bolsters were great. the boat felt much larger like a 37OL or 35cig. it just cut across wakes and 4 to 5s like zip. running wide open it never chinewalked. never walked on any water real steady boat. If I ever move to twins my choices would be a 37ol love mikes boats, AT 33, 37,or 33,35sutphen,34/35 saber last would be a 38tg with big power. it would use the most gas to keep up with the others but the long nose of the 38is cool like the long wide look of the sutphen. but if your looking at 33s AT all the way. Art

for 30ft and under talk to the guys at saber marine they will build you a new boat, also sutphen has a red 30/31 thats 3/4 finished can be done with single or twins.I was in the 1st new 30/31 back in 04 running in 5 to 7s off capecod they called the offshore race off that day cause of wind and waves. we were running 65 to 75 to the race we were 10miles away. that boat is awesome for a single or twin. we were out with two other sutphens a 30 and 33 ex race boat.I wanted to buy the red one but we couldn't agree on a price and then the deal on the saber28 was agreed on. which is another rough water boat.plus I had my own drive set up and motor so I was looking for a finished hull no power. and the AT 28s are nice too. fore sit downboats the joker 28 and superboats y2k looks GREAT with the other east coast boats sit down boats.

Challenger was built around Washington, MO, (just outside of St. Louis). They had nice looking 33 and 28 Duo-Delta-Conic DDC, single step hull boats, both with molded swim platform.
There were a number of 28' and maybe 1 or 2(?) 33' built for the Missouri Water Patrol. Well built boats with respectable speed. They were a great pleasure boat, but did not do to well on the offshore race course.
