Just a little south is much better. I am just west of you and it takes me about 1/2 hour to get out of either of our rivers. Bayport is a long drive down a curvy road to maybe get a spot where you are launching near the gulf. The best place before you hit alot of road traffic is the Hudson Beach ramp. Right around the corner from the open gulf then a nice ride south to wherever. I am going to Clearwater tommorow. Under 1 hour by boat to sheppards from Hudson Beach.
