I'm holding a dynosheet for a naturally aspirated SBC, 564 hp @ 6200 rp, 550 Tq @ 4750 rpm, and I can build bigger. SBCs to around 600 hp. (I sell crate motors). They aren't much cheaper then BBCs at this level of build, but weight and space are issues, and MOST people don't have 600 hp bbcs anyway, (mine go to 820 hp dyno tuned and tested carb motors). If you want more power out of what you have, just change the cam. Evan |

Re: Who runs a 20' or smaller boat?
I have a 18" offshore race boat that does around 60mph with only a 70hp johnson, and when I fill the watertank up it doesn't really care how big the waves are ;)
hull is air lubricated via 2 vents on the deck, engine is on a setback, prop axel is flush with bottom small video here, you need quicktime to view it http://anders.fqdn.no/aero18/tur/aero18smalloff.JPG |
