Broke Glove Box Door... need a little help.
1 Attachment(s)
Can anyone tell me who manufactured this?
I broke the door in two this weekend. I know I have a couple options, and already have a call into a local shop which can duplicate the door for me, but it will be expensive to have them laser cut one piece like that. I have been here: http://www.eddiemarine.com/cart/sear...Criteria=glove No pics! Anone have any? And here: http://www.danamarineproducts.com/st...TOKEN=78534470 Mine is about 12"x5", but the one at Dana Marine restricts your openning to about 10"x3." I would like to keep the same openning I already have. I may just want to replace the whole unit, or a nice big purple billet door. I need it by this coming Thursday. All help appreciated. |

Re: Broke Glove Box Door... need a little help.
Brian,
Is it made out of plexiglass or a thicker plastic material. Last season we broke one of our cabinets doors and I just went to the local "plastics" distributor and had them cut me an approximate size. Just used a jigsaw and made the door myself. I went to a place called Piedmont Plastics here in Rockville, but another company here also called Acrylic Custom Works can handle what you need. Their number is 301-770-0698 ask for Eduardo. |
Re: Broke Glove Box Door... need a little help.
I've bought stuff (Lexan) from Piedmont Plastics as well. It's amazing how cheaply priced the materials are to make this high-dollar stuff that we have for our boats!!!

Maybe Craig has some Left-Over toilet parts that you can put in place of the Door ? :p

Re: Broke Glove Box Door... need a little help.
Use lexan it's a lot stronger than plexiglass. If you can't find someone to make it for you I'll make it.
