In need of a Generator

Hey BMPNUGLS here with my new screen name...

I'm looking for any sources for rebuilt/remanufactured or used ~6.5 - 7kw marine generators...

I have a Kohler 6.5 which has shot craps!... broke a governor gear and put a hole in the block and crankcase cover....

A KC parts supplier can get me a "short block" for $1400!!...

looking for any other immediate options!..hopefully quicker and/or cheaper...

I'd have to say $1400 is a deal. Take it and run. The receipt I found in my pre-owned 382 Formula for dealer installed 6.5 Kohler was around $10,000!
