How to value a 2002 Fountain 35' lightning

Hi All,
I'm looking at a 2002 Fountain 35' Lightning that seems to be a really good price.
What options, power packages etc make this boat more or less valuable?
What was stock in that boat?
(Does anyone know what it weighs and will my 7.3 PSD Excursion tow it away?)
Thanks
Evan

My guess is you could tow two of those one over the other with your PSD.

As for market values I would check similar rides in the classified here and on boattrader.com.

You might want to call Fountain and ask them by how much they will cut the price of new ones this year also it usally affects re-sale somewhat...

Here is what I pulled with my Ex and it was a V-10.

I've been told about +15% for 06.

Interest rates on the rise too.

Everything is going up due to energy costs in all industry.

Go to the NADA web site. They allow you to plug in a large variety of options and the trailer for a reasonable estimate. At least you'll have a base number to work with.

Ouch... That'll leave a mark if the boat is long enough to get a mark on it!

You will have no problem pulling that boat with a PSD. I have always valued a boat on what a bank will loan on the boat. I personally think that a boat is worth want someone is willing to pay for it. I would check with your bank and see what they will loan on it and then check the classifieds on here and the other boating sites to see what other are going for. Check Traderonline.com they have a lot of used Fountains listed there. The engine package will make the biggest price difference on what a boat is worth. Good Luck

its funny that you ask a question and you dont get a serious answer :D
well if it is a true lightning it will have a double step hull, that will be a big add over a classic or Ex. which have a single step hull, in powerboat mag
may 2001 they have the 35 lightning as Offshore boat of the year award, it had 500efi.s and price as tested was $254467.00
