Default My new toy

Took it out for the first time on Sunday and what a ride.I have never had performance outboards before but these things are great.Gas,oil turn the key and go.It is a 1990 Shadow Cat.30 feet with a 8'6" beam.Cuddy cabin and seatong for six.Powered by 1999 Mercury Promax 300's turning 28" Labbed Bravo Props.I am still getting the feel for it but with 4 people and half tanks I brought it up to 6Krpm for a few seconds(redline is 6800) and the speedo was quickly climbing through 80mph.I brought the throttle back as it was going through 80.Great ride no porpise. It is all white for now but I am ordering graphics.Tried to post a picture but the file is too large how do you make it smaller?

fishhead congrats on the new rig. Gave up on the smallblocks? Any wat if your motors are promax 300 the factory revlimiters kick in about 6100-6200rpm.
I am interested what your top speed is when you get the feel for the boat. Good luck

The small blocks are great just do not have the time to properly maintain that stuff.Pass the word around they are for sale. Thanks for the tip on the Rev limiter but the manual says 6400-6800rpm limit.
Also I downloaded that program to resize the picture but cannot figure out how to do it,can anybody please help.

Mark well you should need little time to keep those merc running...add fuel , oil and run. next weekend repeat.
I bet your service manual is for a 300x not a promax

There are a lot of free resizing programs out there. Download.com has lots of them.
