Tres Martin Performance Boat School !!!
 

ANYONE who owns a performance boat NEEDS to attend Tres's school. I went with a little doubt that I would learn anything but WOW, what I didn't know. Tres is a super guy that will spend time with you answering questions.

The first day we did the classroom thing with the exam at the end of the day, ( I failed so I have to attend summer school). :eek: The class was VERY interesting and informative.

The second day we hit the water......

Tres pull's up with a secret weapon under cover for us to use on a beautiful lake !!!

Tres explains the pre-boat check of checking the drives and flids and making sure you can get your fire Ext. out if needed.

As we idle out, Tres explains the proper settings for all types of running. Including the settings for your tabs for a "No Wake" zone.

He explains ALOT of boat settings and how important watching the "horizon" is !!!! And how to set the boat up for a turn.

And for those of you that think this is just another boring classroom and runnig boats up to 30 mph, let me tell you, this is NO BORING CLASSROOM !!!!! We hit some nice speeds on the runs !!! Thanks Tres !!! GREAT TIME !!! Dave Warden

Thanks for the plug. I look forward to helping the customer of your boats get into safe operation mode.The most important thing is making sure they turn the boat right with out turning over. Understanding how the bottoms work make you more aware of what happens to hulls at speed and in the turns. Hope to see many of you OSO boaters soon .

Tres really gets into the physics of what happens in different situations and what your bottom is doing and what the prop is doing and how to correct problems before a serious situation could occur. I would recommend this school. Dave

I remmeber when they used to do the party out on Rookers. What a PARTY !!! They would set up food tents with generators and had a DJ. That has been a few years ago and alot of beers ago !!! Dave

Tres did my neighbor just buy that 30 mystique you've had for sale? I think the one in his driveway looks like the one you were selling. Just saw it in his driveway but haven't had a chance to call and ask him if it was his dad, brother or him that pulled the trigger.

Nice choice on the Kawasaki. Great selling boat for the dealership I work for in Jersey. If you ever have any questions on it let me know. Also PM so I can give you heads up on a minor problem you may have with it that the manufacturer does not take care of or inform dealers or customers about.

Keep up the great work with the class. If I ever get a free weekend I may take the class as well. Education on the water is key for beginers and even longtime enthusiasts.

Believe it or not, there is a proper setting that will dramatically reduce your wake at idle. Tres explains it and also demonstrates it in the class (can't give up his secrets).

When Tres went over this particular item in the classroom, I really didn't think that it would make much of a difference. When we got out on the water, he demonstrated the correct settings to reduce wake at idle and it made a big difference. I was surprised!

He also explained and demonstrated how the tab setting can alter the boat's response while docking. It sounds crazy, but there was a difference!

Like the others, I highly recommend this class. Tres explains the theory and physics behind everything and then he demonstrates all of it on the water. The class was a great learning experience!

Class is for cat owners and vee owners. The technique used for operation and recovery are very similar. You diont need to bring your cat sometimes we have cats available in some classes such as 23-24 in austin.
