While I was gone this weekend my guys had to help with another major boo boo (5th like this this season). 61' Viking hit the infamous Myrtle Beach rock pile and launched 16' (!!!!) from the channel. Hit at 26 knots (about 31 mph). Total loss.

-stringers are gone
-took on 3+' feet of water in the guest stateroom #2
- both transmissions toast
-sheared the rudders off at the ports
-25'+ of hole in the forward part of the keel
-interior doors and fittings overlap because the hull twisted.

etc, etc. etc.

Probably had the autopilot on and was in the forward cabin doing bad stuff with his secretary while his wife was taking the kids to soccer practice. :D :D :D

Post #4 pic w/ the green hoses are the 4 gas pumps keeping the boat from sinking while headed back to the marina. Total of 7 gas pumps were needed to keep it floating.

The yellow stuff is the expanding foam to use to seal holes.

Were exactly was that .We are heading down for the fourth and boat in the icw from North Myrtle beach yacht club.Planning on going to Bald Head Island also.

It is approx. 10 miles south of the marina you are talking about. If you are going to Bald Head you will be traveling above a sand bottom - no problems.
