Cuda, this is how its done. I came outside with my dogs barking, and found this. killed it with a machede.

Yes, I agree. I know nothing about snakes but I did stay at a holiday inn express once and I concur......it is a dead snake.

if it is a king snake you shoud have left it alone they are good to have around :D

A king snake may be the only snake I wouldn't kill. They kill lots of vermin, and they also kill rattlers and mocasins. But hey, like I say, a good snake is a dead snake. You made him a good snake.

Yep, That's a King snake and you should have let him be. Poisoness snakes will not come around him and he would have kept pests (mice, bugs) in control. I only kill poisoness snakes, all others I let be. Nice gloves !!!! :rolleyes: :drink: Dave

Yup... King Snake... now since he is gone you should kill ANY other snake you see... he is the reason why you never have seen any other snakes :(

How can yo utell if the snake is poisonous or not? Let it bite you and wait for the outcome? I heard it was the shape of it's head....True?

I agree, The only good snake is a dead snake. I have friends that say not to kill king snakes because they are good to have around. I understand what they are saying but I still cant stand any snake king or not.

I say leave the Poor snakes alone, Unless they are poisonous ones near your home and you have kids around.

we have a Ball Python and he is actually a very interesting Pet
captive born so he doesn't act anything like the wild ones

What weird is i live right in the middle of the city. i have never seen anything like this around.

After reading about king snakes, it does sound like the only kind of snake to have around, but when i found him, i didnt go look on the internet to research what kind of snake it was. he struck at me, and i made him a good snake. it was dark, and when i saw him, i thought it was a copperhead.
