Re: Wow!
Those turbines dan't even break a sweat pushing that 50'er to 150+mph. I think rebuilds on those Lycomings is a thousand or 2,000 hours.... :D
I want to retire...can I be your insurance agent please? :drink: That twin turbine boat has to go for 1.5 million don't ya think? |
Re: Wow!
Love the sound of those turbines spooling up.

Re: Wow!
Warbird's old 50 Nortech passes me on the left in the video on my website. I think he was ticked off that Cyclone passing me on the right was faster, 172 MPH. No problems beating that Cyclone now with the turbines. <gg>

Re: Wow!
Well, I think I did a pretty good filming job considering the wife was driving and yelling "a boat is passing us" and I was yelling back "Stay straight" "stay straight".
If she had turned in panic away from Cyclone, Jules would have nailed us on the other side, driven over us in his 50 footer at 100 MPH plus. Wifey and I would have been chopped hamburger. |

the video looks more like miss nor-tech is passing you than war-bird, but hard to tell... jules owned miss nor-tech and i think is co-owner of warbird with arruda now....

Re: Wow!
Yeah, it was Miss Nor-Tech, Cyclone was faster hence now Jules is in WarBird with Arruda. No wimpy gas motors can pass him now. <gg>
I insisted wifey take the Coast Guard course before we got the boat, and she attained the highest mark in the class. Book smarts are quite different from actual boat driving experience as we all know. |
