There is one, but be careful--you have to have a permit or they will slap a ticket on you.

Im going to mansfield. I may do the same as clay and leave my boat somewhere. its going to be freaking nuts there.

2 years ago there was this lady at the mansfield entrance, she told me the lake was full and no more boats were allowed on it

I'll be putting in a block away from our place in Lago Vista. From what I here its a private boat ramp.

That ramp will still be packed. its a property owners association ramp.

As I said earlier... I will launch at Mansfield Dam around noon on Friday and leave my boat at Carlos'N Charlie's each night.

There is no freaking way that I am gonna fight the crazies at the ramp all weekend long.

Ever launch at Paradise Cove? By car you head toward Carlos and Charlie's but stay to the left when you come to the Y in the road. Paradise Cove is all the way to the end on the right. It's not so crazy and there is a big field with tons of room for trailers. But, it is $20 to launch I think unless you have a slip there (which we do).

I took a look at the weather and decided to leave my 357 at home and go out on the (boring) Monterey cruiser this weekend.

I'll miss not having the Formula but I won't miss not dealing with the launch ramp.

I'll be staying at a house with some friends. Its on the the Lago Vista website, Lago Vista rentals.com. Its the Falcon home. Its sits in a cove to the Lake. Looks like a good place to hang out.

WIll be bringing up my 1996 29 Scarab, 1991 25 BAJA, and a 2004 27' BAja. And I'll have my Honda wave runner up their also. Going to be a good time!

Clay, looks like a great time, but I've got to be honest, I liked your old postings much better
