If 496 ho's are too loud, that's pretty sad... I think they're going way over board with this whole noise thing. I'll tell you where the real problem lies at LOTO and that's all the monster cruisers that drag up and down the lake deystroying everything along the way, including nearly killing all other non-cruiser boaters that cross their paths... What's the expense and harm of a loud boat on the lake? nada What's the expense of a cruiser tearing up all the docks on the lake? I'd hate to even guess?

It has nothing to do with the engine size, it has to do with the exhaust you run. My 28 Cigarette had 350's and was LOUD as hell. It was louder than most any other boat I was around. I have heard boats with 496's that sound really mean too.

Alternatively, my buddy has Keith Eikert 1100's in his cat and you can barley hear the belts turning it's so quiet at idle.

I hear ya... Mine run straight out the back with nothing in the way... On another note, how' bout those dam cruisers tearing everything up?? I don't see my exhaust tearing anything up??

You might want to have a plan B, because if you get pulled over that is going to be way over.
Grand is just 3hrs away if you want to boat.
