I prefer a pair of these for the boat. You did say eye candy, right? :D Well, they do have glasses on.... :drink:

Re: Boating eye wear
I bet they're $$ if you gotta get the nortech too!
|
Re: Boating eye wear
they come with the nor-tech.... good deal, huh?
|
Re: Boating eye wear
With them around... the fuel would seem cheap.

Re: Boating eye wear

Re: Boating eye wear
now that is a plan..... i will be down either thursday night or friday morning... i will call ya when i get down there...

Re: Boating eye wear
I think it comes down to two basic options: wear eyewear or don't wear eyewear. Offhand, I can't really think of any significant pros for not wearing eyewear
|
Re: Boating eye wear
I'm thinking along the lines of goggle type glasses.
Above 60mph, my glasses create a buffeting effect. Above 70mph, w/ no eye protection isn't very safe. |

What ever happened to the good old fashioned Oakly Glasses?
|
Re: Boating eye wear
I buy cheap ones because I can't ever find them after I wear them a couple of times. I must loose two or three pairs a month.

That's what I wear. Clear safety glasses for night time. |
Re: Boating eye wear
Scott goggles with no bridging in middle..2 different pairs..the yellow ones that brighten everything up are always real good.

Re: Boating eye wear
I wear some cheap WalMart goggle glasses things that seal around your eyes and have a string to draw tight behind your head. At 70-100mph they are the BOMB! My buddy bought them on accident and gave them to me. I am going to buy an extra few pair to have on the boat for passengers when we run fast.

Me too :D |
Re: Boating eye wear
I saw a pair that Thomas was wearing that seals around the eyes and has a magnet that holds the wo lenses together in the front. No wind in the eyes while running fast and when you don't need them, separate the magnet and let the glasses hang from the built in holder thingy. Thye were pretty cool. I'll see if I could get a brand name.

Elastic-strap goggle-type is best for running hard.
I frequently have to turn, to speak to passengers in the aft seat. For example: - "don't try to pick that up right now, you IDIOT" . . . the wind will whip your $245.00 Maui Jims off your face quicker'n sh"t, when you turn your head. Guard-Dogs are the best for the hard-running. At idle, you can put on your $245.00 Maui Jims, and look fabulous as you approach the docks. Keep a couple pair of WallySpecials for your passengers. Even the most seasoned skipper WILL scuttle his specs at some point. Have some backups. SPY ( less than $100 ) is a good choice for those who don't want to go the 'goggle' route, yet still have good aero's for hard-running, while still looking fabulous at the docks. Interchangeable lenses is a SPY plus. . . . |

Re: Boating eye wear
I use Guard Dogs too. Not the one's in the thread above. I get the Pure Bred Combo. Clear lense for night and smoke for day. When I am not running I just put on my regular sunglasses.

Just got a pair of these from WileyX.
Good combo of glasses/goggles. Came w/ 2 lenses, smoke green and clear for $75 from a local army / navy store. http://www.wileyx.com/gfx/rtSeries/sg1Anim.gif |

Bajabob hit the nail on the head. Bomber sunglasses do the job AND they float if they fall in the water. The guy that owns the company used to race Jetski's for Bombardier (sp). Last name Bonacci. One other thing I like is the variety.
