Re: Sound Law Question

No DB limit listed. But Switchable mufflers are considered illegal. Talk about being written in vague language. Sheesh!!

Found this for PA. http://www.nonoise.org/lawlib/states/penn/water.htm

What is the db reading roughly for a pair of standard 454 mags???

Re: Sound Law Question

According to that, they are using the standard testing and DB level requirements as with everybody else. But its funny that the only place the DB level is listed is for the testing procedure. Nothing stated under the rest of it. And I've never seen anything on the PA Fish and Boat Commision website listing any DB level. Nice little Catch 22 if they feel like giving you a hard time.

Re: Sound Law Question

I didn't even know there were sound laws in New York. What about out in the sound or on Rivers? I wonder how many decibels my boat is? I know we come back pretty late at night sometimes down the river...only going about 12 mph but that is loud as hell when eveything else is quiet.
