i-95 over throgsneck Br to Cross Island South to Southern State East to Meadowbrook Pkwy South to the end... this would be Jones Beach(the western end of it).

I would say that if you were to go by car, you should park in either field 4 or 6 for the best viewing. The west end fields 1 and 2 are too far west.

I would suggest I-95 to the throggs neck bridge...to the cross island pkwy(south)....to the southern state pkwy...and just follow the signs to Jones beach. If your not familiar with these roads you can search it on mapquest for more detail's like mileage or possibly a different way....but these should get you there....good luck.
