Naples Florida Dry Storage/Marina recommendations
Maybe it's the dismal weather -but I'm already planning into this Fall.
Who do you recommend for indoor storage and if there are shops in the area you only trust to touch your boat I'd like to hear that too.
Thanks in advance.

Re: Naples Florida Dry Storage/Marina recommendations
There are several in Marco. The few left around Naples were full. I can't remember the name off hand but there is one downtown near Tin City. Wiggins Pass used to be the largest with great gulf access. it is going all condos and is closed for good.
I had to go to Fort Myers Beach for a rack. Since two other Marinas closed withn a mile they have filled up as well. Even though I have a lift behind the house you can't leave it in the sun and salt all the time.

E39 - Is Wiggins Pass the place that is closing and right next to Pelican Isle?
Sign4boat: In the Fall. Trying to get my ducks in a row early. Still need a couple more stickers when you get a second.
There are a couple I've found, one is under the bridge from Tin City. Naples Marine on North Road. Anyone know it?
Any trusted mechanics/shops in the area?

Thanks for the tip. Should not be a problem getting a spot at this time. Right now it looks like we'll either be bringing a 28 foot Cigarette, or maybe a XX foot Cigarette. The Fall is a loooong way off.

DamDonzi:
Naples Marina is on North road by the Naples Airport. They have almost 700 rack spots so they should be able to accomodate you. Be aware, 40-45 minute idle to the gulf.
Naples Boat Club is closer to the gulf. It is private, but they do rent out slips of owners who are in between boats. Expect to pay dearly for the privilege.
On Fort Myers Beach, try Fish Tale Marina, 239-463-3600. 20 minute idle to the gulf.
Further south, try Cedar Bay Marina on Marco Island.
If those don't work for you drop me a line and I will give you a few others.

Tom: Thanks very much for the idle time. I was wondering about that. Optimitsically I was hoping for 30 minutes.
I think I've heard good things about Cedar Bay, but not really sure how to judge how long a drive that would be from the Pelican Bay area. I get the feeling it's like purgatory between North to Ft Meyers or South to Marco Island.

Big "M' went rack a minium.
Dumont's lease ran out and is moving to a dry land marina service only. Up San Carlos by the Winn-Dixie. The only 93 I know of!
Wiggins is closed for good. It's located just south of Bonita on Vanderbilt Dr. in North Naples.
Naples Marina is not bad if you boat during the week. Most of the NO WAKE zone is on weekends. They just expanded it for weekend boaters about 2 months ago.
SIgn4BOAT: Those sharks are going to bite your knee caps. I walk the beach most everyday in season and see at least one caught daily!
DamDonzi: Fishtale would work for you also Salty Sam's, that is where i keep the Cig when it is not on the lift.
