Need some LOTO advice
I'm heading down to LOTO in two weeks to trade in my PQ on a 95 Fountain, and I want to celebrate the occasion with a long weekend on the lake. Bought the boat from Raymond's...what an awesome dealership...Charlene is the single nicest woman I think I've ever met! At any rate...I'll be down there June 10 thru 13th and I don't want to break the bank....is it possible to do this and still get a slip, or am I faced with pulling the boat out every night? Also..WHERE TO GO? I've never been down there and wanna have a good time! Thanks in advance for the help!

Re: Need some LOTO advice
heres a good website
http://www.funlake.com/accommodation...ass=3&letter=c most of the action is between the 7-25 mile marker on the main channel. make sure you tell them how big your boat is when you call. some of the smaller resorts dont have very good ramps. |

Gracias, Steve.
Hey Bob - you gonna be in this weekend? Hopefully we'll be down there on Sunday and Monday...hopefully the weather will cooperate! |
Re: Need some LOTO advice
Lake Chateau has very reasonable rooms, and very nice dockage. Call to see if they have any available.

Re: Need some LOTO advice
Some one needs to make sure that while he's down there, he breaks his new boat in right with a trip to Party Cove!!!! And Shooters, and the Toad, and Topsiders, and Backwater Jacks (my personal favorite watering hole at LOTO), and the Crab Shack, and and and... !!!!!

Re: Need some LOTO advice
If you want to get by real cheap and don't care too much about how modern your room is.....Kalfran Lodge has a boat ramp, cabins, lakefront rooms, boat slips, plenty of trailer parking, fuel, swim docks, and two pools. It's kinda like a 1960s time warp but the location is good (just around corner from Grand Glaize bridge, 19 or 20 MM) and prices are right (65 to 85 per night +7 per night for boat slip).
I'll be around the second and third week of June in Sweet Commotion, a 31' Stinger. Have Fun. |

Re: Need some LOTO advice
Robins Resort- 573-348-2275 (see www.robinsresort.com) rates, on site & pictures. right by the Grand Glaize Bridge, 2 marinas for fuel, great docks up to 40 ft & covered & right outside your room!!
Have fun!! Some old style bungalows & some new rooms also. Boat ramp & parking. A great place & convient to Party Cove & all the "Hot" clubs mentioned above. Short idle to channel on weekends. I'm there for the Shootout again this year. Good rates also. Lake Chateau is also pretty good (just across the cove from Robins) but is up on top of a hill... not very close to the dock & one heck of a walk up the hill!! |
