Default Mr. Clean AutoDry Carwash (for Boats and Cars)

Anyone use this?

Been using it for about a year, and just wanted to spread the news. It basically ionizes and cleans the water for the final rinse of your car wash. It keeps your car from getting water spots. I use it on all the vehicles including the boat. Usually, I will take the Absorber and hit the windows to dry them quickly. I actually look forward to picking up a black car and truck someday since this thing makes washing much easier. We don't use the soap integrated with the unit, just for rinsing.

You can pick it up at WalMart and Target. Its WELL worth the investment if you are anal about your vehicles looking great.

I did not have the good luck you had. I think it is a piece of sh1t. I would not wash my driveway with it. I have a black vehicle and it did not even come close to drying without spots. Low water pressure, took forever to get done. I fixed my problem and bought a year long pass to the local full service car wash for $475 and they wash, vac and hand dry it everyday, sometimes twice.

I use it too and it does work pretty good. I have noticed that you need heat (warm air) or sun for it to work right. I've tried it on a cool, cloudy day and the results were not nearly as good. I used another soap when mine ran out and other soaps can (and did) clog the unit. Use what they reccommend
They have a newer version out that has more power

I've used it for about year myself and i think it works well but it does take while to rinse the A/T.NEEDS MORE POWER.

I use it on our black truck and it works as advertised! I love it.

Nothing worse than going to a car wash, spend $15-20, and drive home and get water marks from where they missed drying or?

The product works great for me.

For those REALLY anal about your vehicles looking great; you;ll notice that MR Clean leaves a residue on your vehicle and after some time that residue gets sticky. I will use it for light cleanings or when I feel lazy, but a good wash will remove the residue.

I also tried it on the boat. The final rinse is too light and I spent more time trying to final rinse than if I took a water blade and chamois to it.

Cool Re: Mr. Clean AutoDry Carwash (for Boats and Cars)

The water softner portion is a great idea to help soap clean and rinse. I am in Los Suenos, Costa Rica at this time and you will find that just about each boat slip has a private water softner system for this same purpose. Los Suenos has one of the most elaborate marinas and an area for some of the most elaborate fishing boats.

The Wet Spot brand is one of the most commonly seen. Although Mr Clean uses a similiar idea, I agree that it really is not for boats.

With regard to soap, I like the Mr Clean brand soap. It cuts brake dust well and does facilitate a quick wash. What I found works best is Mr Clean soap refill from Walmart in a bucket used with a weird looking wash mop I found at Sears. It has a fuzzy head at tached to a pole that while extended holds soap solution. It reduces the trips to the bucket and keeps the mop head constantly wet with soap.

Anything to simplify the task is always helpful.
