Another boat off trailer incident: I-75 / South Bradenton St. Rd. 70

Don't know any real details but on the way to Lowe's to pick up some flooring this afternoon, about a half mile south of the St. Rd 70 exit in the southbound lane, another boat was off it's trailer. Looked to be about a 30 something CC or cruiser. Had two OB's, was laying on it's side, had obviously rolled at least once and was 150 ft. from it's trailer.

Did not get a real good look and did not have a camera with me but it looked like the tow vehicle may have gotten clipped by it. Did not see any other vehicles involved but the wrecker was there.

When we went back by two hours later it was gone. Will watch the news to see if I can pick up any other details.

Mike, couldn't agree more. I see guys pulling boats up around 80/90 all the time. Everything from bass boats to 42'Tigers and everything in between.

The one I saw yesterday the trailer was pointing in the wrong direction, but maybe it had been placed that way for some reason.

While my truck is capable of pulling my boat effortlessly at 85, tried it just once to see what it was like, I trailer around 65/70 mph. I want to be able to get it stopped quickly if I have to with some sembelance of control.
