The way that I read this was that the condo's have the noise "laws". Those are not laws they are association rules. If you are not part of the association or on association property then you do not have to abide by them. The town however may have noise regulations and you would need to find that out. Also as you have figured out what you did was not the smartest thing..... Not only does it get people pissed at you but at all of us...
Look at it this way. If you are my neighbor and I tell my kids that they have to be in by 10, but you tell your kid to be back at 11, does your kid have to come home at 10 because I said so? Of ourse not....

John, its the village code.
I was told "1st time offense up to $1000 fine or 3 days in jail."
The police were called, and they responded,"if you hear it agian, we'll go down and talk to him."
But like I said... its all been smoothed out.
