Cost to paint a 30 ft boat
How much would it cost to paint a 30 ft boat? Nothing special, lets just say white with some small stripes.

Re: Cost to paint a 30 ft boat
It all depends who does it. my last boat I had a smaller operator who paints them in his barn do it. It cost me 4800 to paint a 38ft chris craft white w/stripes&checkered flags. My new (to me) cigarette 42 revolution(you can see pics of it under (revolution restoration in this same forum) it cost me 13000 to sand it all down ot the original fiberglass, then gelcoat it, then sand and buff the entire boat, which takes a lot more time than painting. Both of the boats i have redone proved to be quality jobs. As long as u find someone not too jackleg and are doing a simple graphics scheme like that then I wouldnt go to some big operator who is gonna charge an arm an a leg. So im guessing in theory u could get it painted with stripes for around 3500-4000 and still get a good quality job,.

Re: Cost to paint a 30 ft boat
depends also on the results you are expecting. you could probably get a decent job for around 5 or 6 K but expect to see a bit of flaws or some dust hear an there. somthing tuned up and buffed is gonna be in the 10K plus range with no major gel or glass repair.

I didn't mind your comments njgr8ful, I just don't want to get into a discussion about someone's problems with another member and have it get ugly.
