I went up 3 mph, my mid range went up 5mph, better hole shot. It was Houston's Accelerator design change on Mirage +'s. Bow carried much better than before as well.

Compared to the experimentation, returned props, cupping changes, pitch modifications, and the small results, I'll never do it again. I might send them out to be balanced but 1-2 mph on the top end (where I spend little time) isn't worth it. My experience also showed a slight gain in top end, but I lost cruise which is where I spend much of my time. A couple of mph doesn't mean jack to me, if I want significantly bigger speed numbers, it's time to look at new power or a new boat.

This was also on a little 28' single engine boat that might not be the best platform for these types of changes.

Had a pair of "box stock" 32P Bravo 1's labbed by Mercury...

Brought 'em down to 31P...

I saw a 200 increase in RPM and maybe 1 or 2 MPH on the top end. Didn't notice any change in holeshot or mid-range.

a lot of mixed results,,, seems the 3 blades are doing pretty well after labbing..

Just to clarify, I have twins and was not pulling enough rpm's with my props before they went to Houston.

I had labbed 30 Bravo1 on my Velocity 290.My prop now is a 27p5X.Speeds up to 4000 rpm were off by 5 to 8 mph off with the 30.Top end is at 82 with both at 5300 rpm.3500rpm was 48 with the Bravo1,and 55 with the Hydro27.The 5 blade is untouched.Chris I hoped to see you at the milk run.
