Default 525EFI swap

I have located a low hour 525EFI and am thinking of purchasing to install it in place of a 454MPI Bravo 1 in my 22' Scarab. My question is what will I have to do different? What drive if any would be recommended? are there any other modifications I would have to consider?

If it was me I would use the offshore through bolted solid mount instead of the rubber mounts the MPI engine uses, that is all I can think of off hand, that and being sure the cmi pipes line up with your opening in the transom. Might be wise to upgrade the gears in the bravo to an X series for a more reliable package

I also wonder what a Blackhawk drive would drive like on my hull. I found one of those in the same place.

Oh no I haven't bought it yet because to be honest I'm trying to get guy to sell it to me outside of auction. He says he can do it but he is coming up with price. I'm in a waiting stage right now. I very much appreciate you asking though and remember if you need help with yours lemme know.

If your boat were 10 feet longer I would probably upgrade to the XR. A bravo one drive should be fine for pushing a 22 foot boat.
