Need help, recommendations on props for a Fountain 35 Lightning

I am in the processes of purchasing a 2001 Fountain 35 Lightning with twin 500 EFI's. It has 30 pitch props for sea level and I will be taking the boat to Lake Tahoe. Does anyone know what pitch I should purchase? A pitch recommendation on a lab finish prop and a standard finish would help alot. Also, the best place to purchase them.

I purchase an '05 Fountain 29 Fever last year and I am now hooked! I took the plunge on 35 and can't wait to hit the lake. By the way, my 29 Fever is up for sale in the classifieds. Let me know what you think.

Thank you for your help in advance.

Lake Tahoe is a fast lake for one above sea level, you might be able to run your 30 pitch bravo props there, if not you might try some 28 hydromotive Q4 props, try turning them in, and also if the 30 bravos are to tall try some 28 bravos turning out. good luck, the 28 hydro's is what I have on my 35 fountain with 500 efi's

Thanks for the advice. I was told from one person to go 4 pitches lower at Tahoe. I only went down two pitches with my 29 Fountain.

Thoughts on lab finish props?

Try it first with the 30's...Don't get yourself shooting at a moving target, get a base line.
BTW, Congrats on the new Fountain...Pics please.

I was thinking from my experience with my 29 Fever that the elevation change would take some of the low end away from the boat. I was thinking of trying 28 pitch to start. I just don't want to buy the wrong props and be out the cash.
