I pulled some vinly off and found the problem. I can see yellow glue behind the vinyl attached to the foam. The glue is staining it from behind. I think I'm screwed.

Last year I had my rear sun pad recovered by the factory. I than had a new storage cover made which was a blue colored canvas. After the canvas got wet it left blue stains in my new sun pad. I tried everything from bleach to soft scrub with no luck. I was so upset I decided to take it back and have it redone again. Just before making the call I went out in the garage and grabbed every cleaner/solvent I could think of. Figuring if I took the color out at this point no great loss. Well I ended up with fingernail polish remover. It took the stains right out with no damage to the vinyl. I than made sure I cleaned it off very well and applied a vinyl conditioner after words. Put a little on a rag and wipe lightly. If the vinyl is anything but white I wouldn't try it. Just be careful that you don't use to much or you could remove the grain from the vinyl.

I've used soft scub with bleach, but cant leave it on too long or it will yellow the vinyl, and keep it off the seam threading ! It cleaned stains good & finger/toenail polish scuffs & marks from the ladies, but had to be careful with it. BTW, it works great on white ribrails !

Yep! Acetone, Sounds crazy but it worked for me. I tried it on some extra vinyl I had to see what it would do to the grain. I did find if you left it on to long it would start to desolve the grain. Just put a small amount on a white rag and rub lightly than make sure you wipe it off with some soapy water and than with some conditioner.
