Bummer that they slipped it in. If its because of new homes or a marina then you may have a chance if there is public access site on the river. Some have done good with the argument that the main usage of the body of water has historically been for the enjoyment by the public and not profitability.Good Luck

We had a local yacht club fight until they got a 1 1/2 mile no wake zone 10 years ago,then everyone down stream has slowly got there stretch added to it,now it takes 2 1/2 hours to get to our big bay from river,the original place that started it has since went out of business since NO ONE WANTS TO SPEND 5 HOURS TOTAL GOING ROUND TRIP To the big water for a evening cruise or short ride! Pisses me off to no end,alot of the no wake zone is industrial waste land with NOTHING a wake could possibly damage,but they are not getting rid of it any time soon,it sucks,Smitty

Find out if any boating advocate groups are in your area.
