Marine Power In Louisiana Has These Motors Ready To Drop In Any Boat. I Have Heard Great Things About Them So Far.
IF I REMEMBER CORRECTLY, HOT BOAT HAS A PICTURE ON THE COVER OF THE MAY 06 ISSUE FROM THE MIAMI BOAT SHOW.

Yea, here's an update....boats sold and long gone...Jeffrey quite boating like a poodle. then decided he still wanted to boat and bought a tiger. Then sold it after only a few months and now he's MIA from the boating scene.

So I guess the 572's were not the best success story... maybe the reason he ran away from boating...

Too bad.

As I recall (and don't quote me) he had some initial issues on the set up (something about running too hot, or something like that) but he worked the problems out and the boat ran great after that.

I haven't seen anyone post pics of that boat in a looooooong time. Wonder where it is now.

Great looking boat!

Jeff Call JF if you want information about 572's for Marine application.

He has sold a lot of them and according to him all the persons that have run them without modifying them have blown up. The people that put in Iconel exhaust valves adjusted the thermostats and changed the cam were ok with them. Call him to confirm.

Friend and I put the ZZ572 in his project. Only problem we had was the Stellings dry exhaust inner wall at the weld kept cracking letting water in through the exhaust valve dropping it and busting a piston. We tossed the Stellings and installed water cooled custom bend taller risers to keep reversion from happening.Have roughly 2oo hrs on the stock engine .You can see the boat at www.performanceboats.com . Click on pictures , special features and homebuilt Canadian. This engine works great if one takes time to allow the engine to break in .Boat did 65 on GPS with the Stellings w/mufflers . Wet exhaust with mufflers , 63 mph.
