LOTO restauraunt

We will be at LOTO the last week in July, it's also going to be our wedding anniversary. Need to know of a couple nice restauraunts to take the wife to for an anniversary dinner.

Also she likes horses, is there anything down there as far as riding horses? Not the trail kind where you follow a horse but someplace were we could take a couple horses for a ride on our own.

If anyone knows any other cool things to do down there for an anniversary I would like to here them

We are staying at Regatta bay, I don't know how close that is to the chateau, If you want to run togehther you can call me at 262 820 0782. Not sure what exactly what our plans are,but I will have my folks down with us and our kids, we might be running a little slower than normal with everyone on board, but we could always hook up at the horny toad or something.

JB Hooks on business 54. You have to drive. Get a seat closest to the windows for incredible view.

Is the Duck still open. They had good food but a little pricey. It was on the 4mm.

If you want to be on the water then The Duck at the 4MM or the Windrose at Tan-Tar-A are the nicest places. We went to Andre's for our anniversary, and had a fabulous meal & time. It's not on the water, but still has a nice view of the lake. You might also try Millstone; we had a good meal there earlier (under new management). They still have what I think is the best view of the lake from the dining room, and it's not going to last since the condo developer plans to tear it down...

We are meeting my wifes folks up there and bringing our 5 year old, so I'm sure we will be running a little slower and drinking alot more. I have a 27 foot eliminator daytona and I'm sure I will have to take it easy on the ruff water from what they say.

Off the lake, Bentley's, JB Hooks (excellent surf and turf), or Blue Heron. On the water, (At least I think they still have docks), Potted Steer. Do bother with the Duck. The food is overpriced and the service is not good. I will stay that the atmosphere of three resturants off the water is nicer than the Potted Steer. Nice resturants and water accesibility don't go together too well.

The Potted Steer is right next to the Grand Glaize Bridge.

What About Lunch, Cold Beer And A View Of A Nice Bikini?

How about the Toad Cove...is Jeremiah's re-opened yet? I wasn't overly impressed with JB Hooks...is a beautiful view and there probably isn't any better view of the lake than what you'll get there. They are pricey and the last time I was there the service was not as good as their prices would indicate. As some others have mentioned...the Potted Steer is nice :D

The Big Easy has reopened after burning down last fall. Good food and cold beverages. It's at the 12 mile marker, just past Ozark Barbeque.

The new Horny Toad is now built where the Nightclub was. It is 3 levels all in one building.

In my opinion, the new layout sucks. You can only move from one level to another in small stairwell or around the entire bldg.

The service has sucked and prices have gone up. I used to go there a lot. I doubt I will be going at all any more. I have talked to many other people who were HT regulars and they feel the same way.

I wouldn't go there at all, let alone for an anniversary.
