Show Me Your V-Bottom Bow Stops!
I am looking for pictures of the bow stops on your trailers. I have a hinged cluster phuck on my trailer now that is scratching my bow. I am going to add a simple v shaped carpeted bunk. I've never really looked at one, so show me what you got. Please :D

Where did you get the straps. I'm having trouble finding any that have a decent load capacity. Thanks.

Warparty
I sent you a PM with my number, please give me a call, I need to get a set of straps from you. The picture of the bow stop Sean posted is a Myco which you can buy from them....or biuld your own. Stecz ordered one direct. |
Re: Show Me Your V-Bottom Bow Stops!
Warparty,
Not a close up, but here is the setup that came with my Aluminum Myco. |
Re: Show Me Your V-Bottom Bow Stops!
I have a urethane roller bow stop (the biggest one) I'd like to change over to that style but one question.......if the bow eye isn't behind the bow roller my boat will come forward while towing and braking. I don't brake hard unless it is neccesary. I use transom straps and the boat would still walk forward. So IO had the trailer manufacturer make me a new winch tower and it works fine now. :p

Re: Show Me Your V-Bottom Bow Stops!
Now that you mention it...
I will have to get a pic of my bow stops, maybe tonight, but I may be looking for a better safety tie down for my bow. Currently I have 2 safety hoops on the trailer and a 10,000# ratchet strap holding the bow eye down to the safety hoops. It's a pain to use the ratchet strap. |

I seem to be the only one with this worthless POS set up  I haven't trailered much, so I am just now noticing how bad it is :( If the ramp is not steep, and the trailer is not deep in the water the bow won't get over the top of the stop

Why couldn't you just mount the stop lower. Maybe fabricate a bracket to move it down 18 inches or so. |

i got this one on the myco site.... I have modified it again by cutting the stop out and replacing it with a movable jack style that I put a impact into and spin up or down approx. 12" so it is out of the way on steep ramps. In this photo I have already cut and lowered the winch and moved it forward so the bow would not hit on steep ramps.. |
