Wellcraft Excalibur. Good or bad?

Can anyone tell me anything about the late 80's 42ft Wellcraft Excalibur? Im looking at a 1987. Were they solid boats? Any structural problems, etc? Thanks

A friend of mine has an '87. Other than the typical Wellcraft stress cracks, the boat is solid. Awesome ammenities!!! Downside is manueverabilty in tight spots.

I'm re-doing one right now, but not a 42', it's a 34'. I have never had it in the water but the hull is so sleek on the boat. Its not really a deep V, its really shallow like a cig gladiator. I can't wait to see what it can do with some horsepower.

Compared to how many were built, there are a lot of really old Excaliburs around if that tells you anything.
