modified my trailer today...much better
when i bought it there was nothing in the front to secure the boat. it was a lift off stle trailer that i may dip once in a while so i fabricated the bow catch spare mount and ladder to access the deck gracefully. what cha think? Btw finally managed to fit the 2 center pipes, wat a pain that turned into!

Did you fab the ladder or modify an existing ladder and install? It is a great idea, especially on a deep v. to access bow.
Nice job looks very custom and part of the trailer

i made the ladder out of 3/16 wall 1 1/2 square tubing and 3/4" square tubing for the steps. i dont think i will have any problems with the tailgate.

i plan on installing an electric whinch when i find one i like for the right money. i can move the ladder aft 6 inches when i do. the crank handle on the winch forced everything forward so i could swing the handle. anyone need a brand new hand crank winch assm only installed once and never used?
