We have many people staying on their boats. We also have people that have RV/truck set-ups with sleepers. We own the huge parking lot for the weekend. There are shower and bathrooms for all to use. The Resorts Casino, Hotel, and Robert Pastrick Marina are walking distance. Park the truck and enjoy.

We do have boats that will be running 150+mph but I am sure this will be more of a enjoyable run because there are alot of sights of downtown Chicago to enjoy. Go past Navy Pier to Buckingham Fountian to the second card stop where you will get filmed. Then idle along the wall where there will be many spectators 20-30 feet away. You will get to see Soldiers Field, Science of Industry and Adlere Planatarium. Then you proceed to Hammond for the third stop.

Friday is a big part of the event. Preregistration at the docks. Formal registration at the Resorts Casino with a limited open bar and food. Sports bar and Casino and band at the marina for entertainment for the night. More details will be available soon.

It looks like something is happening on Friday as well. Sorry for all of the questions.
Have you done a poker run before, it will be like most of them. The runs starts at Pastrick Marina, which is on the edge of Chicago and IN. The first two legs will go into the downtown area of Chicago and then back to Pastrick for lunch. I forgot where the second half of the day goes but we wind up back at Pastrick. There will be a dinner both Friday and Saturday night and lunch and breakfast on Saturday. This is a good deal because the entry fee includes 2 nights dockage, all meals, tee shirts, polo shirt for the captain and probly a few other goodies. Some poker runs are more expensive but comparativly speaking this is pretty reasonable.
Docking for these events are a little differnt, and a lot of people will stay at the hotel which is in the marina. Because there are so many boats, you sometimes have to raft off, if you sign up let them know you plan on sleeping aboard (we will be) and they will try to get you close to the wall or a dock. If you are able to stick around Suday you are welcome to join us downtown. Getting a slip in Chicago is not like anywhere else, very little transient dockage it is all run by the city. Thankfully through the club we have gotten to know several of the dockmasters so they slip us in under the system. There will be a lot of Fountains on the run, I believe we have several factory boats and the Rio Roses race boat will be there. Candyman Dan who is on the board of directors has a 35, and Sommersfly by, Mike just bought a hot red one. Anyway sorry to go on so long, I just thought I would give you some insite in addition to Marks post

I have done the Emerald Coast Poker Run in Destin, FL. This year I did the Pickwick Challenge and I am going to do the Emerald Coast again, LOTO Shootout, and I am going to make plans to go this poker run also. It sounds like a great event! I am going to talk to the wife and make sure we don't have any plans that weekend. I will definitely plan on staying on the boat. Thanks for the info and I will let everyone know after I register. Thanks again.

Thanks for posting the pics Dan, Like Donna said I don't know when you find the time.

We hope you can make it to the run skopi55. The ramps at Pastrick are very nice and also I believe there is 24 hour security.
