Ron P Goes To Chicago For Poker Run And Blarneys Races
 

Ron P is coming to Chicago to party(work) all weekend. His adventure start off July 21 at the Thurday night boat races at Blarney's Island on the Chain-O-Lake. I set him up with Rob Hardman, one of the owners of Blarney's Island. If you are going to the races that day, be sure to say hi to Ron P and get your picture for Extreme Boats Magazine.

Friday and Saturday will be spent at the Chicago Poker Run downtown Chicago on July 22+23. Friday will be a busy day getting boats ready. Open bar and food at the Resorts Casino. Gambling and dancing to a live band at the marina. An impressive line-up of boats coming to the poker run. The morning run goes through scenic downtown Chicago. The day ends at the Resorts Casino Grandball Room for an incredible dinner and awards presentation. Rio Roses is handing out the finest roses in the world at this presentation to all of the winners. Ron will be in one of helicopters and/or one the boats in the run.

Lets get everyone together to make Ron P's visit a great one.

As you know plans are always subject to change, but there is a rumor that he will be on a certain "trailer queen's boat" :eek: If this does indeed happen, history will be made at the Chicago Powerboat Poker Run :D

Blarney Island is a blast! If I can toot my own horn, my grandfather built the "bar" in Blarney Island way back when. If he only knew all of the brazeer's(sp) would be adorning it. Have fun Ron, you will enjoy yourself!

Races a Blarneys Island are a blast, kind of miss them since moving to AZ. The biggest complication is depending on good weather???!!! :rolleyes:

Thanks guys, I've been looking forward to doing a story on Blarney Island ever since I heard of it over this past winter. This certainly sounds like a fun trip which of course makes for an interesting story.

Now, if we can only get Fred to actually get his boat wet, I'll be with him for the Chicago Poker Run.

Sounds like a fun weekend, I'm looking forward to meeting a bunch of OSO people at the run. Also look for Johnny and Casey from EBM as well.
