Pinellas County Florida Marina ???

I have a friend with a boat in Marathon. He feels he will be able to use it more if it is closer so we will be going down to Marathon soon to bring it up.

He keeps it in a wet slip with power cable the whole works.

Any good reccomendations from St Pete to Clearwater?

I buddy keeps his boat at Bayburo Marine (high and dry) and has always been happy with the service. Another friend kept his at Terra verde marina and same thing.

Tierra Verde is nice and is close to the gulf and beach attractions. It can be busy, though, and rather expensive. I really don't like it much, I think the docks there need a lot of work. It's also in an area with a lot of wave action and chop.

The harborage marina is a nother nice option, it's on the bay side near downtown St. Pete. It's also a very nice, large marina, much more protected and sheltered.

I have seen Maximo and Tierra Verde. We will probably map several of them out and tow my Donzi down there one weekend and check them out.

Thanks for the input.

Home Port is good for high and dry with limited wet slips, Priers is nice for wet slips. Also Marinos (Pat's) has some slips also if he is looking in the Palm Harbor area. Up in Tarpon there are a few on the Anclote River . Dave

Maximo is nice. Used to keep a boat there at one time in High & Dry inside. Would call ahead, and she was always in the water fueled & ready to go. :D
