Default Need a GOOD marine mechanic in Palm bay/Melbourne FL area

I sold my PQ to a friend of mine in Palm bay a few weeks ago.. well first weekend he had it out he ran agroud with it (not to bad..but enough) He took it to the local marina to have them flush it out and do a service on it(plugs, fluids change, impeller, etc) It has a plain ole 7.4 in it.. nothing special.. well they first had to "order" the impeller.. then that didnt work so they told him they had to pull off the intake gasket(not sure for WHAT..) well.. that didnt work.. now they are tellin him they think he blew a head gasket? WTF.. He told them to just put it back together..

So.. I need some recomendations as to where to send him to that knows WTF they are doing.

Help!

A friend just ahd this happen. He burned a pump and the impeller blades were all through the coolers. So we cleaned it out, still no water flow. Turns out there was a plastic flush "T" in the intake hose with a plunger to shut off the raw water when you hook up a hose. The plunger stuck in the down position due to the suction when he went aground and was blocking the intake line, shutting off the intake water. Have them look for that.

I live in Melbourne and there's a real shortage of marine mechanics here and labor rates are high--$90/hour at marina's.

THere's a mobile service up at Marina on Barge Canal next to the Sea Ray plant -- number is 321961-2222. Good service at Boaters DIscount on US1 in Melbourne--Steve is service manager but they are slammed with work.

It's not a pretty picutre here in terms of number, rates or quality.
