I have heard that a polished finish actually slows you down......

But they do look REAL cool when out of the water!!!!

I polished mine the first year and then gave up. Looks great on the trailer.......does not last long enough. Polish them once, show the new rig off, and then a fine scotch brite pad/fine steel wool is good.

I also keep mine soaked with WD-40.

Until I sell the engines that are in it and buy new ones, it's a trailer queen anyway. might as well look good while it's sitting there!!

I hit 'em today with a little steel brush on a drill. Came out better than I expected!

Yea, they came out nicer than I thought and easy too! about an hour for both drives all four sides
