Yeah, it's since been rectified, just needed a little twist, and a shot from the heat gun.

Looks nice. Big improvement over the old set-up. Im worried about the risers as well. I tossed a motor in my AT 20 hrs after I bought it from a leaking gasket. Let us know how the coating holds up.

Yeah, unfortunately the old factory merc manifolds aren't worth the material they are cast from, however this project has snowballed from a new interior to nearly a full restoration. The motor was something I couldn't overlook, since I can pretty much build an engine in my sleep. I've only just started to shop for manifolds, once everything is reassembled and the season tapers off, maybe a reasonbly priced set of Gil, Imco, or Hardin manifolds will hit the classifieds.

Before I spend $1800+ on a set of manifolds, I'll break out the TIG and the tubing bender and make my own.
