Have you ever heard of a bad battery switch
I have twin engines one of them is laboring to turn over. I have changed the starter, the battery, the solenoid. I get voltage drop between the starter and the battery. Do you think it is a switch or battery cable? Help

Re: Have you ever heard of a bad battery switch
My money would be on the cable. Ussually if the switch is bad it just won't work. Could be your possitive OR negative cable. Take a look at the very ends of the cables. You may see some green at the ends. If you have to cut back the shrink wrap on the end of the cable and take a look because you can not tell then do so. You will probably see a end with a whole lot of corrosion.

Yes, it can be the switch. A friend recently went through the same thing on an outboard boat. ....Turned out to be his Battery Switch. The contacts inside it were worn.
