I'll be on the "Rock" this weekend and next, starting this Thursday. Be one cove west of marker 21 @ a dock called "The Liquid Lounge". Come by, it will be a pretty good sized party Saturday.

Re: anyone going to table rock ot loto?
We'll be there this weekend. If your near kimberling city, thats around point 7. Our dock is the cove just west of the south end of bridge. I will look for your boats. Dont see too many Eliminators around.

Re: anyone going to table rock ot loto?
How about meeting at the swings? I'll have to be there, supposedly going to be a bunch of young people like myself at this party. I'm sure there will be some inhabitions lost over there! :evilb:
Brian are you still interested in a tour of the Outlaw? You have my number and know where I'll be.... |

Re: anyone going to table rock ot loto?
I don't think so. It is on the way to Cape Fair. Right on the channel. Can't miss it. Instead of making the turn south out of Kimberling, like you are going to Shell Knob, go straight about 3 miles. It is on the West side of that particular part of the lake.

Re: anyone going to table rock ot loto?
I may have to come out and find you guys.
The swing is on the James river where it meets Aunts Creek. There are quite a few other popular spots. The Island on the White near Baxter, Mill Creek, Cow Creek, Gobbler's Knob (Directly north of point 7, but not Port of Kimberling), and I am sure there are lots of others. The swing is by far the most popular, but not always family oriented on the weekends :D . FYI - Who knows when they will do it again, but 2 weeks ago there was a sobriety checkpoint on saturday from 4:30 till 6 where the James and White Rivers come together. I assume they were after people leaving the swing. |
Re: anyone going to table rock ot loto?
Sobriety, what is that? Seriousely, I got stopped a few years back right there. Been drinking a little, thank god for a boat load of drunk people to make me look sober!
I would love to have some sort of tie up thing or something at the swings on Saturday. Look for me, I'll be in "Bad Idea" of on a blue and white Cobalt 360. Should not be too hard to find the 360 , it is the only one on the lake I think? |
Re: anyone going to table rock ot loto?
Jason,
You mean you will be there unless there is some sort of wife/family issue like there was last time we were all supposed to meet at the swing? :drink: :drink: I beleive I saw that Cobalt a couple of months ago at Big Bouy's. It is a beautiful boat. |
Re: anyone going to table rock ot loto?
Yea, no family issues this time, I'm traveling sans wife and kid. My Dad and is Girlfriend are there but they brought the little Baja so don't know if they will be with me or not. I do know that I will make an appearance there. Saturday afternoon is probably when I'll show.
call my punk ass to make sure I'm on the right track Saturday 316-650-7796 |

Re: anyone going to table rock ot loto?
No bars past the swing. There are some places up the White. Calling them bar's may be a stretch, but I am not very familiar with the Shell Knob area. I know of nothing past the dam other than Big Cedar Lodge which has the Devil's Pool, but it is not really on the lake. It is best to ask them to call a shuttle. It is a great place to go to for their champagne brunch ($25/ea) on Sundays. I have never been there, but there is a place at Rock Lane Lodge called the Parrot's Perch which is on the far side of Indian Point. We live right in Kimberling City, give me a call anytime 417-335-1656. It is supposed to be a hot SOB so we may not get too far from the dock for very long (we have a 10 month old).

Re: anyone going to table rock ot loto?
Bill, I will call you sat or sunday and see if your out. Where are you from the bearded clam? I stay at the lone pine resort. When you are in the water faceing that big glass house that looks like a office, we are to the right about half mile. There is a cove with docks than lone pine all by itself just past that cove.
|
Re: anyone going to table rock ot loto?
I am in the 3rd cove from the bridge (or 2 past the clam) on the same side of the lake, clear in the back. Or we are the last deep cove before you get to Mill Creek boat ramp (which is on the opposite side of the lake). I am still trying to figure out where Lone pine is. To get to it by land you must have to go down point 7 road? I will look for it when I am out and about today.
|
Re: anyone going to table rock ot loto?
GO DOWN DD ROAD ABOUT 7 MILES. lONE PINE RESORT HAS A DOCK THAT SLIPS ABOUT TEN BOATS. iT ALSO HAS A GAS PUMP.
|
Re: anyone going to table rock ot loto?
OK, I know where you are at. From under the bridge looking at the glass house, it is in the last cove on the left hand (north) side. I like to hang out in the back of that cove.

Re: anyone going to table rock ot loto?
Where was everybody? We ran smooth out of fun from Friday, I did not know you could use all of "fun" up but we did, but after a late start Sat. (2:00) we were finally able to start back up and were at the swings about 2:30 on Saturday. Where was everybody at????

Re: anyone going to table rock ot loto?
My boat didnt even touch the water this weekend.
We have a 15mos daughter & planned to go out late morning & then again late afternoon to avoid the heat. 10:45a rolls around on Sat & i start changing her into her suit. Wife asks what i am doing. Tell her gettin ready to go out on boat. Then she says its too hot, & proceeds to tell me she told me this already & we have to wait till eve. I responded that if she (my wife) wouldnt have laid in bed all morning we could have gone out & been back. So a big fight ensues. Then our eve run never happened do to dinner & fussy kids. We left the lake 930a back to kc on sun. Next Sat we have a babysitter all day. Thanks mom. |
Re: anyone going to table rock ot loto?
That sucks! Be there again this weekend, gonna be Cobaltin' it. Look for the 360, that is where I'll be. Bad Idea will be in the water but don't know if it will get started or not?? Same place, the Liqiud Lounge.

Re: anyone going to table rock ot loto?
I have to drive a 360 Cobalt @ the Regatta Sat morn. 10:00am. Will see about the swings. that is my plan, the swings that is, but don't know about the rest of the crew. I'll ditch the 360 for the Outlaw if I go to the swings. You may want to look for both boats. The 360 is blue over yellow over white. Should be a good size group on it. My boat will be the one with topless women......................well probably not, but wishful thinking huh?

Re: anyone going to table rock ot loto?
Hey guys, my boat never left tht lift on Saturday. Sunday afternoon however we made it to the swing and it was dead. I did see rdp145 out there though.
Saturday late afternoon gsmith9898 came by our dock and visited for just a minute. He was headed to the swing but probaby didn't get there until around 5:30 maybe. I guess everyone was gone by then. I may attempt to head out there this coming saturday afternoon. |
Re: anyone going to table rock ot loto?
Jason, Did u make it out on Sat? We were over at the swings from about 1-430p then went over to the cliffs by Branson. Didnt see your OL or a big Cobalt out. Did you end up hanging out w/ the other Cobalt peeps for their parade or whatever they were doing at Rock Creek? I would have called but my pcs was on the boat & your # was in the Tahoe.
We wont be back out till the 20th at the earliest, weather permitting. |
Re: anyone going to table rock ot loto?
No, the Outlaw laid down on me this weekend, sea water pump. What a ***** to change that! Made me really want to sell it now. I hate working on stuff. I really did not do much of anything, made it all the way to 21 marker and tied up, drank way too much beer and felt like crap Sunday. I won't be down at all this month. A LOTO trip is in the works for the shootout but I don't think I'll be taking the boat. Sounds like the 360 is going to go. It is much much better for partying on.
