Dallas Area OSO Members
Hello everyone, I am transferring to Dallas in the next few weeks and was just wondering if there are any OSO members there?
What can you tell me about the area's lakes. I hear Lake Texoma is certainly somewhere where I can run the Powerplay.
Any advice is appreciated. The boat has been for sale in the classifieds so I'm hoping not to take it with me but you just never know.
Thanks in advance.
Mike

Mike .....
Let me be the first to welcome to Dallas, It's a great place to run a boat ......
We've got five decent size lakes surrounding the city with easy access ........ I'd have to say Lake Lewisville would be your best bet, It's the biggest of the five, with four marinas and a couple of decent resturants ...........
Lake Texoma, on the other hand, is about an 1.5 hr. drive north of here, but is by far the largest, and has all the good's .......

We live at Ceder Creek Lake it's about an hour southeast....A little slow but getting better every year. Lake Lavon on wed. evening is fun....Run around and do some bull****ing. Texoma is the real deal.

Welcome. At the moment I am sitting on porch looking over texoma recovering from a rough thursday night at Pompanos bar. Texoma is by far the place to be, expecially for bigger boats... 90,000 acres and some decent water to run in. Let us know when you arrive.

You guys are the best, thank you so much for providing the information and the invitations. These opportunities will really help our transition.
As I am sure can be said for many of you, boating is my only real passion, moving from Florida to Dallas, I was really concerned. You guys have eased a lot of the anxiety.
Thanks again to all of you. We should be complete with the move by the first of September. We'll be in touch.
