That's a tough one.

Since 1972 all boats have a three letter system or "MIC"

It would be: first three letters equal manufacturer, next set of numbers equal serial number, last set of numbers/letters equals model year or date of certification plus model year.

Your number doesn't fit the standard. Strange.

There was a TK industries... but the MIC was "TKN"

is the boat older than a 72?

my hull is older than 72 and the serial number on my title starts with a (?) . There are no numbers on the hull though. The deck however is a 2003, Amazingly it fit after all those years.

I was told its a "scarab" style boat with twin Merc 330's... He has other numbers from inside the engine compartment... but I am clueless..

Hoping the board would have the knowledge needed...

theres a TKI = NEWMAN BOAT CO but nothing with a TK1...... atleast nothing listed with the coasties :)
and taking a look at Newman industries:
NEWMAN IND INC
