Did they tell you what the open billetts are? Usually the first year or two is spend on a boat. Good part is you get to travel all over the world.

I got an MK3 spot in Barnegat Nj But my Commander said I may be getting transferred to Atlantic City. I want a do a tour on a cutter so now I'm looking for a Billett for anything out to sea

Gotta get your seatime in, better off doing it early. My buddy thought he was going to be able to choose where he could go but in the end they decide for you.

He was stationed his first year on the USS Cambell, did a tour of Europe, Nova Scocia and the Carribean. They went to a small boat station out on Long Island, can't remember the name.

Not so far Jim, but so far they only checked for fire extinguishers. I have 2 x auto halon's and that was as far as they looked under the hatch. Everthing looks nice, but there are a few non-approved items if they were to look closely.
