Discovery Bay to Tiburon

How many miles to Tiburon from Discovery Bay.

SCOPE is coming up with a strong showing for the Big Cat poker run. On Friday we would like to run to Sam's Anchor CAfe.

Anyone want to join...maybe show us Tools the way????

One of my favorite runs! I'm in and I'm sure we can talk Jonus into a run unless he would rather take his..... snail boat

I think there are about 10-12 boats from SCOPE making to trip for the Big Cat Run this year.. Last year was a blast.

Lofty, how many boats can fit @ Sam's?

Re: Discovery Bay to Tiburon

Jeff, we got the boat and love it. Wife likes the sound of your motors. What can I do about the "made for" arrestor????
Jeff, am I the first guy on the west coast with your motors?

Lofty, how many miles?

A big group will be in DB by noon on Thursday. Where shall we go? I have a number of guys looking for dock space for the weekend. Can you PM me and let me know what we can set up before we get there?

Can wait for the Big Cat Run...

If you want to have something made with your name of it...I'm cool with that. She is goona get alot of attention in the month of August.

What should the fuel pressure be at? I'm having my guy check the motors on Thursday and would like your input.

FYI...check out the below web site on mile and the route cut and paste http://maps.yahoo.com/dd_result?newa...=us&oerr=-3001
OR go to yahoo maps Discovery Bay, Ca to 27 main st Tiberon, Ca about 72 miles and you can see the waterways

also Sams has a nice web site www.samscafe.com and their phone number is 4154354527 great bloody marys

they have 2 100 ft docs... may get crowded-they don't approve on raftups...a great meeting place may be angel island to handle your crew accross the channel, nice cove awesome sites.

Good luck

Just a question from somebody never been there. . . . is any of that distance a "headway-only" or idle zone ??? ? ?
Looks like a pretty good hump, if it is.
If not, it looks fun. But a lot more than fiddy mile. . . .

its a run,, i would consider it to be kinda like going from longbeach to catalina to newport ,
ea way seems to feel to me like same time distance.// no 5 zones just let it run when u hit the main channel.

Jonas,

I was riding with Lyall at the Big Cat Run last year and we had a blast. Hopefully you will be able to make it out on Thur and/or Fri.

I think there will be about 12 boats or so from SCOPE coming up for the run, and we would appreciate any dock space that you guys have avaialable for the weekend. Are you going to make it out for the SCOPE poker run again this year?

Greg

I'm happy with the new boat so far. It's not bad for a lake boat. :D

I'm planning on leaving with Lyall early Thurs AM and then meeting up with you guys along the way. It should be a pretty good caravan

Re: Discovery Bay to Tiburon

Bump..

Jonas and Lofty are you guys going to make a lunch run on Fri? Are there any other places near Sam's that have docks? We have heard that we might only be able to fit 8 or so boats at Sams, but we could have 10-15 boats going. Any suggestions?? See you guys Thurs.

Greg

Re: Discovery Bay to Tiburon

You can allways leave some boats at Angel Isle and ferry across. There are a couple of other spots up the Canal in San Rafeal that are pretty sweet little stops. You have a little bit of an idle up the canal but it's worth going in. You can stop by Hi Tide and give Butch chit for not getting his Bertram in the water this year.

I just got in from the shop and have been working long hours to get mine back together. I don't know if I'll make it by the weekend but that's what I'm shooting for.

BTW, Corinthian has buoys just outside the breakwater if you have too many boats. They'll let you use them no problem just don't tie up to there docks. They'll chain your boat up and make you pay to get it back!

Thanks for the info. See you this weekend :drink:

Re: Discovery Bay to Tiburon

if u are a yacht club member u can tie up at the corinthian yacht lub right there by sams,, You are right sams does not have alot of dock space there are 2 fingers and if there are a few big yachts few sailboats it gets full fast.
jack london square area has more docking..[
