No Colin Ferrel playing Crockett is more of an action star, he played Alexander the great, for one. Also many other action movies. I think you are referring to Will Ferrel who played on Saterday night live. Colin Ferrel is I Scotish but is able to drop his accent very well.
Jamie Fox started out on "In living color" doing comedy but has moved on to more serious roles like playing Ray Charles in "Ray" and staring with Tom Cruise in "Collateral" and also in the new action movie "Stealth" that just came out where he is a fighter pilot.

I have to tell ya' , being what I consider the biggest Miami Vice fan on earth (look at my car) I was at first against any form of Miami Vice movie without the original cast. Miami Vice is just to big of a piece of culture history (the 80's) to attempt a remake or spoof like that piece of sh*t Starsky&Hutch movie.

I would like to say that this Miami Vice is going to be a HIT!!! They are pulling all the strings to make this movie just as big as the TV series was to us. I can tell you that this movie will spawn a whole new group of young Miami Vice fans.

It is a serious drama with the same type of action, style, babes, humor, and all the cool sexy players. I have to say that Crockett & Tubbs are being well represented. They look and act amazing .

Michael Mann is doing a great job at trying to protect and perfect his masterpiece, Miami Vice!!!

Great thats what I was worried about I just got done watching season 1 all over again on dvd and cannot wait to see the movie..by the way the spider looks nice!
