Finally bought a boat
 

After looking for wwwwwaaaayyyyyy to long, I finally bought a boat. Its an old wellcraft/excalibur cat with kaama drives. Bought it in Georga from board member kaamacat. Can't say enough about how helpful this board is. Thanks :drink:

I swear, until yesterday, I never heard of a Excal Cat with Kaamas. Someone on another site told me he was rafted up with one last weekend. About ten minutes later, I saw one for sale on Oso, and now the next day, they are coming out of the woodwork.:)

Congrats on the purchase. I guarantee you'll be happy you went with the Kamaa's. I've had no trouble with mine in 2+ years.

Hey mnfastboat, how you been? Your cat was the first one I ever rode in and I was hooked!
So far been running in the Winona pool ironing out some minor issues. My buddy with the 43 BT has been bugging me to enter the Jungle run. I'll have to see.

After towing with the Freightliner I cannot imagine using anything else. You don't even know its back there and you can see around the thing a lot better than with a pickup. Besides that you can buy old trucks much cheaper than 3/4 - 1 ton pickups. The one I'm using is only worth about $9000-$10000. What does that buy you in a pickup? :D

Me too. I had a spare, but sold it to an oso guy that needed it badly. I thought I could just buy another one and replace it. :(

I've never really been much of a cat sort of guy, but your's I find very interesting. I like something different than what everyone else has. Try going to the Wellcraft dealer and tell them you want to buy a cat with surface drives! :drink:
