Stez,
If you end up shipping that drive make sure it is properly packaged. I had two drives shipped to me last winter from Florida. They were wrapped in bubble wrap and banded to a wood pallet.
When I removed the bubble wrap one drive had a broken skeg. I had insured the shipment but the shipper recently (six months later) denied the claim based on improper packaging.
Fortunatly the repair wasn't that expensive.

i had a drive shipped to florida and i had a crate made up for it but when its was shipped back it was just wrapped in bubble wrap. luckly there was nothing wrong with it. just be careful stecz.
get that sh it back soon.

a friend is a sales guy in Boston for Forward Air,I can ask him how much and how fast via truck if you want. Like interceptor said, make sure extra effort put into packaging and take pics before leaves.

Cheap fu@k it's a buck fifty to ground ship. It'll take three days... that's the fastest that drive will travel for long frigin time since it'l be tagged to your Cafe from then on, sailor... :D

I had a drive shipped the other direction a few years ago, as I recall, it was about a hundred dollars. Strapped to a pallet, no damage.

years ago I sold transportation and you'd hate to see what happens to things you'd consider unbreakable :eek: . A truck is treated as a hole the needs to filled to the top - stack anything on top of anything, if it all tips over en route its the next stops problem. LTL goes hub and spoke, no such thing as direct to delivery point. strap a drive to a skid and loose pieces of other freight will be put on the skid to make a flat surface - for what? To stack 2 skids on top!

I was a UPS driver for 12 years, trust me, alot goes on in the back of a package car:D...weight limit for UPS is 150, and they dont pallatize shipments.

Use Fed Ex Freight and pick it up at a Fed Ex Freight shipping site. You will get wacked a residential fee (for the lift gate). The weight on a Bravo is 159. But you got a TRS right? Should be about 3 days from FL. It will have to be on a pallet and should run about $100-$150.

Stec20, I am in Cape Coral and will be leaving Mon morning for Eickert's in Palm Coast and then on to Pennsville, NJ. Should end up in NJ by Tues afternoon. If you can get it over to Cape or to KE's I can throw it in the back of my pick up. 609-970-2586. :D
