I love the boat....however this guy has a sh!tty E-Bay approval rating. I would tread lightly if I were to buy this boat.

This seems to good to be true. Does anyone know the history on this boat? I see lifting eyes on the bow and a ballast tank, was it a race boat that was sunk and redone. The cockpit is a different configuration then I have ever seen in a spectre, looks very similar to a motion. Normally there is a hatch behind the seats where the cooler is in front of the back hatches, these seats are further back. Obviously this would be the first 1/4 canopy spectre I have ever seen, anyone know of others? The

also if you look closely the gunnels look to be glassed in. my 30 has open gunnels...very strange

I spoke to the guy and its the old Halvoline black and yellow cat. Had a buddie of mine thats looking for a skater go over and take a look he says the boat is a 10. He went on to tell me everything was new on there and that the boat looks like it has never hit the water but his still likes the skater better. Im just wondering what its worth being and ex race boat.

Wonder why they repowered the boat with 300 promax's. The boat does look good in the pictures. Your buddy didnt ask what he wanted for the boat??

No because the guy wanted him to make an offer and my buddie wasnt really interested. I moght be what kills me is the insurance I was going to offer 69k for the boat I just wanted to know what people thought it was worth.

I realize the boat has been totally redone. However, being an ex race boat I would offer less and see where it took me. Insurance will be around 4k depending on your recent boating experience. Before, if you could show a lot of experience of boats in that speed range you could get better deals. Now, it seems there is just a flat rate. Which, really sucks because true tunnel O/B cats are the only cost effective way (if thats what you want to call it) to get over 100 mph. The boats are reasonably priced until you add insurance.
