when i bought it there was nothing in the front to secure the boat. it was a lift off stle trailer that i may dip once in a while so i fabricated the bow catch spare mount and ladder to access the deck gracefully. what cha think? Btw finally managed to fit the 2 center pipes, wat a pain that turned into!

looks good. Can you still lower the tailgate with the ladder there?

Did you fab the ladder or modify an existing ladder and install? It is a great idea, especially on a deep v. to access bow.
Nice job looks very custom and part of the trailer :drink:

i made the ladder out of 3/16 wall 1 1/2 square tubing and 3/4" square tubing for the steps. i dont think i will have any problems with the tailgate.

i plan on installing an electric whinch when i find one i like for the right money. i can move the ladder aft 6 inches when i do. the crank handle on the winch forced everything forward so i could swing the handle. anyone need a brand new hand crank winch assm only installed once and never used?

The angle is a little harsh at the bow eye. did you consider a safety chain from the top rung of the ladder? I'd rather secure that way after winching on than having lot of pressure pulling down on the eye.
btw, the pipes over the transom? why?

"the pipes over the transom? why"? becuase they were there when i bought it. i plan on installing new exhaust when i put in my 1000hp blower motors. but the drives are so high that fitting 5" tail thru the transum may be tuff so the new pipes so they may go over transum as well. i guess i could remove the internal tie bar when i try to fit the new exhaust. i plan on installing an electric winch in a few weeks that will sit a few inches higher and be a stright pull against the bow eye.

I just noticed how high the motors (air filters) are, looks like thru transom would have been tough angle.
