What kind of problem? I did all my own mechanic work back in my PWC racing days. Can't promise I can help, but I can try.

sunk it in salt water, had no tools to work on it with but sparyed a can of WD-40 down to carbs while cranking, got it running next day on the hose, next day after that in the river for 20 minutes or so,( all the gas I had that day). How bad is the motor, I am going to have problems and if so what problems, what can I do to head off the problems?

Wow, that is a problem. I never did any salt water riding, but I would guess that you're in for some crank damage when the water dries and leaves the salt residue in the crank bearings. I have sunk a motor in fresh water before and not had any real problems with it. Just made sure to get it running and get oil moving through it.

Three things to consider. One, disassemble the engine clean it up and inspect all surfaces and bearings. Should only cost a gasket set unless you find damage. Those 2-stroke engines are very simple to work on. Two, ride it and enjoy it until it breaks and rebuild it. Three, finish riding the season out, then tear it down over the winter and do a thorough rebuild.

I would probably do option one or three depending on the age of the motor. oh, and I'm just guessing it is a two stroke. Back when I rode, there was no such thing as a 4 stroke ski.

Yea it is a two stroke from 1994, unless someone comes with a better idea i think that I will run extra oil in the mix, and ride it alot this next week, then rebiult it this winter.

I've sunk my 1100 Yamaha twice. Filled the compartment with fresh water up to where the carbs are. (That way you get the salt out of the exterior of the motor in areas that you cannot reach with a spray.) Do not let the water get in the carbs. Lots of WD40 in the carbs and everywhere else around the motor. Take the plugs off and turn the motor to get any water out. I put some Marvel Mystery oil in the pistons via the plug hole. Then replaced the plugs and let her rip through a tank full. Run rich for a while like you said. To this day it's run good.

pwctoday.com is a pretty good place to hang out. The owner of the site is a great guy that keeps things in line over there.

Another site I used to frequent is jetski.com. Heard they cleaned it up since I left. It used to have a bunch of teenage freaks on there.

That would be your two best options.
